Services
Our services are in line with current guidance and future legislation. We can support an employee who is suffering from health-related issues and provide independent medical advice. Our dedicated team of clinicians are available to help you provide a healthy working environment today.
Fitness For Work
Some industries or organisations, whether it be legislation or local policy, require fitness for work medical assessments to determine an employee’s physical and mental health capabilities to carry out their role. A certificate of fitness detailing if they have passed or failed the medical will be issued to you and your employee.
Health Surveillance
Employers have a legal responsibility to ensure that their employees remain safe at work. Each industry has different regulations when it comes to Health Surveillance and the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) have provided medical guidelines for testing.
We can provide advice and support to help you understand your responsibilities as the employer and develop a health surveillance programme.
We can assess the risk and possible impact of Occupational Disease in the workplace.
Our medicals are designed to record a baseline result and are repeated at set frequencies as defined by the HSE to monitor changes in your employee’s health.
The following must be tested when exposures are identified:
- Noise exposure
- Lung function
- Hand Arm Vibration Syndrome (HAVs)
- Skin health
Airside Driving
The CAA have issued the CAP790 standard that all employees who are applying for an airside driver permit must reach.
We will give them a unique and a comprehensive health assessment using the DVLA’s more stringent Group 2 Standard and produce a valid fitness certificate before they undertake their training.
Firefighter Medical Assessment
The European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) have provided regulations that all Rescue Firefighter Service personnel must undertake a health assessment to determine their physical and mental health capabilities to fulfil their role safely.
We have worked closely with the Fire Service following EASA guidelines to develop a stringent medical testing programme. This ensures that all Rescue Firefighter Personnel meet the highest medical standards to match the extreme demands they may face day to day.
HGV/PCV
The Driving Vehicle and Licensing Standards Agency (DVLA) require all HGV and PSV licence holders to undertake a medical health assessment by a GMC registered doctor. They will complete a DVLA D4 Medical Examination Report for Group 2, bus or lorry licence.
We work alongside a team of doctors who can provide assessments.
Immunisations
We currently stock the seasonal flu and Hepatitis A&B combined vaccines. We can arrange specific travel vaccines if needed.
We work in partnership with companies to plan vaccination programmes for the seasonal flu. Our dedicated team can bring everything needed to deliver the programme to your workplace to help reduce the impact on your staff and productivity.
Physiotherapy
We understand the impact musculoskeletal conditions can have on your workforce. Our physiotherapists will conduct assessments and develop treatment plans to help your employee recover and return to work quickly. They are trained in providing expert medical advice on recommendations or adaptations that should be considered in the workplace.
Display Screen Equipment (DSE) Assessments
The Health and Safety (Display Screen Equipment) Regulations apply to workers who use DSE daily, such as PCs, laptops, tablets and smartphones, for an hour or more at a time.
Our assessments take as little as 30 minutes and include recommendations for adjustments, alternative equipment or additional assessment and treatment from our nurses or physiotherapist.
These assessments are commonly known as DSE Self-Assessments, Workstation assessments, or Visual Display Unit Assessments.
Wellbeing Days
We can promote healthy wellbeing for your employees in the workplace. We have successfully delivered the following:
- help to stop smoking
- healthy heart checks
- good posture awareness
- hand hygiene training using local partners and national charities
- Prostate cancer
We can design wellbeing days to suit your employees, organisational needs or in line with current health related topics.
